The Governors School Information Night is December 6 at 6:00 in the KGMS Auditorium. Come hear the superintendent, staff and students talk about both programs: Commonwealth Governor's School and Chesapeake Bay Governor's School. Dr. VanderPloeg, Superintendent of Commonwealth Governor's School, will be here Nov 29th to speak to the students about the program.
Members of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 207 invite all middle school students to participate in the Association’s 2017 Americanism Essay Contest. Participants are invited to submit a 350-word essay centered on this year’s theme: “What Patriotism Means to Me”. There is a Grand National Prize of $5,000! Essays are dueNovember 30th. The Rotary District 7610 is having its annual essay contest for 7th and 8th graders. The essay theme is 4 WAY TEST, which ask these 4 questions:
1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all concerned?
3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
